marx general intellect
What does ‘general intellect’ mean?

This was a term used by Virno or Marx I think.

Quick definition: “Marx uses the term to refer to the general social knowledge or collective intelligence of a society at a given historical period.”

Which means putting us all into the same melting pot. It is particularly worrying at a time when there is a general lowering of educational standards.
