karl marx 20th century
Why are atheists who many blame deaths on religion, where many of the worst dictators have been an atheist?

Stalin killed at least 20 million people, Mao killed more than 70 million, the two that followed Karl Marx. Marx was a devout atheist, and his theories on the Communist Party Manifesto largely based on atheism. Many of the communist revolution (s) during the 20th century based on the teachings of Marx as an atheist. I know that the Church has done their fair share in the past, I close my eyes. But in my mind, atheists have killed as many (at least the 20th century). So why do atheists always use the amount of religion killed people as rational to seek to atheism? There seems to be consensus that religious people kill in the name of religion, but I mentioned atheists have died in the name of power. This seems suspicious, because the "religious" people are able to kill the time well. Is not this the argument of? This mind control religious people? Well – those above are so interested in power that dictators were atheists.

The main difference you and others seem unable to understand or accept is that Stalin and Mao did not kill in the name of atheism. They died in the name of his political ideals. Atheism is not a point politically is a lack of belief in a deity. Mao, for example, killing those who do not comply with policy changes. Not dead because someone was not an atheist. Policy caused mass starvation in China, which has probably killed more than actually were tortured or executed. Many massacres have been refused because Mao to believe that their policies are causing the grain shortage. So he sent his troops into the country to find hidden food stores than he thought. These troops were responsible for the destruction of entire communities. Nothing to do with atheism. Although disputes over the religious affiliations of Hitler (mostly Christian), has written extensively about their Christian beliefs. Could hardly be called an atheist. Hitler did not kill in the name of everything but their own ideas of the perfect "race." Now – lets talk about Christian or religious killings. You can talk about the European colonization of America N & S We can speak of European settlement in the Far East can speak of European colonization of Africa can talk You can talk about the Crusades and the Inquisition, etc, etc. Besides the killings highlighted during the colonization and conquest real. The vast majority of killings have been made on behalf of the church (most of the Catholic Church) and were made to "convert" to the indigenous population Christianity. If you do not become dead, a simple and efficient way to convert people is not really! So, yes there is no doubt that some atheists who say they killed, but the difference is that they did not kill in the name of atheism. Considering that religion (Christianity in the main) and not kill in the name of their religion.
