On Sunday, June 28, 2009, the president of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya has been removed from the bed by the sound of gunfire and the screams of his guards. About 20 minutes later Zelaya Army soldiers took the palace to a waiting plane. He was taken against her will in San Jose, Costa Rica, where he now lives in exile.

authorities Honduras took the decision to remove the president from office after the efforts to amend the Constitution of Zelaya of Honduras. Zelaya was planning a referendum national, asking voters to vote to rewrite the constitution to serve more than one term as president.

The Supreme Court has decided Honduras recently that the referendum was unconstitutional. In particular, the Honduran Constitution prohibits referendums for constitutional changes in the six months before the elections. But the court's decision has not prevented Zelaya. The army has refused to distribute the ballots, it is your responsibility to use before the election.

After the exile, the Parliament formally abolished the Zelaya presidency and a leader appointed by Congress, as interim president Roberto Micheletti until the end of the mandate Zelaya in January 2010. Micheletti is a member of the Liberal Party, the party that Mr. Zelaya. Micheletti was an opponent of the Zelaya regime for the referendum.

Zelaya has been passionate about Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, and maintained a close relationship with the Marxist government. The reasons given by the Supreme Court of Honduras, the military and Parliament for the eviction was that Zelaya has violated the Constitution and that the government has yet taken legal measures to eliminate Zelaya. Government officials also fears that Chavez would be too much influence in the government of Honduras, through its relationship with Zelaya.

The investment did not come as a surprise U.S. officials. The Obama administration had worked behind the scenes for weeks to try to prevent removal of the President. As expected, Obama and Chavez has condemned the kidnapping and exile of the president, and demand its return to the presidency.

Now is the right coup or wrong?

From my point of view, the removal of this president is not a coup. According to Wikipedia, a hit state is "unconstitutional coup is the presentation of a legitimate government by a small group of National Institution – in general the military – to replace the government overthrown by another, whether civilian or military. A strike is successful when the usurpers of legitimacy if the government fail to deter attack, by allowing their (strategic, tactical, political) consolidation and receive testimony to Government waiver or acquiescence of the population and the military who are not members. "

In Honduras, the president violated the constitution. The Supreme Court has decided that their actions violate the Constitution. Parliament approved and authorized the army to expel the president and re-install in another country. These actions have been undertaken in the open air. U.S. diplomats and officials of the Organization of American States worked with the heads of government to avoid withdrawal.

The government was not overthrown legitimate. It was the legitimate government that removed a lawbreaker of their duties.

In my opinion, the branches of the Government of Honduras has acted within its constitutional powers to the executive branch back into compliance with the Constitution.

There is no coup. Just ordered function of a government under their own legislation. officials in Honduras has shown the world that the rule of law can exist even in a part of the world where currencies are bloody common overthrows.

What a striking example for the citizens of the United States!

U.S. U.S. presidents had Today more than 50 years who have violated the Constitution of the United States hundreds of times. The last two presidents have made a parlor game. Not a day passes without a new act of constitutional challenge is not compromised by our current president.

If the legislative and judicial branches of government of the United States were one-tenth the courage and moral conviction that the government of Honduras, which would be that Hondurans have.

It's a shame that a small poor country like Honduras confirms the rule of law, while the U.S. President … alleged constitutional authority and a former professor of constitutional law … Disregard not our own constitution in a takeover naked. Then, in the face of our constitution and his understanding of the Constitution of Honduras, which calls for the return withdrawn Zelaya.

Obama's position is impressive, right? I call it hypocrisy, but in reality it is not. Obama was simply rejecting the rule of law in their own country, and expressing the hope that other countries reject the rule of law. Seeing In this example of political discipline is likely to look uncomfortable for him.

A Barack Obama has no shame?
